Christmas Card Photo Style Guide - Five Ties for Your Family Photo

The holiday season is upon us and with it comes the joys and splendor of this magical time of year. One of my favorite holiday activities is getting ready for our annual family Christmas photo card. Our photo is always planned with adorable coordinating outfits, all customized to the kids’ personal style, with the children sitting, lined up at my front door smiling like angels from heaven.

That is total BS.

No matter how much time I put into figuring out our holiday card outfits, someone is always unhappy and complaining, and the photo shoot ends with me dropping multiple f-bombs through the gritted teeth of my forced smile.

I mean let’s face it, on a regular day I’m lucky if my kindergartner puts on new underwear, or if my 8-year-old remembers to brush her teeth. And to be honest… most days I’m not lucky. Our household is a crazy shit show and the holiday season exponentiates this to epic proportions.

Like us, many families may find it stressful creating a cute holiday card. If your family is like mine, no worries... we’ve got you covered. Or at least the styling part. Keep reading for five easy to match tie styles to wear for this year’s family holiday card photo.

Weekend in the Hamptons

If the men in your life prefer traditional style, this is the tie for you. The classic white, sliver, and blue color combination allows this tie to be worn without being loud or overpowering. It’s subtle stripe pattern will not overshadow an ensemble and photographs very well. Add a pocket square to finish the look for a more formal look. This tie looks great with lights and darks allowing versatility when coordinate outfits. H-Bomb Ties carries this blue striped tie in kids bow tie, adult self tie bow tie, adult pre-tied bow tie, classic necktie, and pocket square.
